Small engine repairs
Hey Butch, where were you today. Could have done with a hand from a mechanically minded individual. Had to fix a generator that wouldn't start.
Ended up only being a sticky float in the carby, stuck in the closed position. Also had to get a rotary hoe going after
sitting in a paddock for 7 years. Stripped it down, cleaned it all put it back together and no start. Ended up
no spark getting through. Took the old stator out of a busted mower and put it in. 2nd pull and we were off and running.
Well if nothing else my small engine repair knowledge is getting better. Probably would have been quicker with someone
who new what the hell they were doing.
Just in case any of you wanted to know what I did today

Re: Small engine repairs
Yeah common fault, particularly with equipment that does'nt get regular use. Shut the fuel of and let them run out of fuel. Also drain tank if not in use. As far as electrics go its easy to test spark at plug. Thats $120.00 dollars thanks, Bulldog.

Yeh it was sitting in someones paddock in QLD for 7 years or more so I have taken it in to give it some love and a new life.
Well worth the mucking around and swearing. Working a treat now. Why buy new when you can restore and have the
satisfaction of having done it yourself, and learned a bit more in the process to boot
