Called in to see a mate of mine who runs a large truck repair shop over here in perth and as I wandered through the workshop there was a young bloke doing a synchro seat on a diesel head. Every time he powered the machine you could hear the squawk of the dry valve guide. Thinking I was passing on helpful information I leaned towards him and quietly said....I always found a squirt of kero down the guide would stop that squawk as against oil which retains the metal dust and tends to work like grinding past on the guide. I did'nt catch what he said as I walked away, then suddenly there a bang and a clump and as I looked over my shoulder I see another mechanic's shirt fronted this young fella up against the wall And I heard say....Yeah well that silly old bastard as you call him, has probably forgotten more about F.....g diesels than you'll ever know!
I had to chuckle.

Didn't you know there is nothing that you know that is worth them learning.
I keep telling my son he should move out while he still knows everything.

Kero must be 'the' wonder liquid. It is so good for so many different applications.
I keep a squirty bottle of it in the shed.
