I think it is an evolutionary thing. We all used to push bikes, then some started to ride them. As those that rode
them tended to get to the food and water first there was nothing left for the 'pushers' when they got there.
This in turn caused hunger and starvation. A further challenge was there for the 'pusher' in the fact that the 'riders'
could outrun the predators and the 'pushers' could not. Naturally those that were unable to evolve to riding died out
and we were only left with like minded indidviduals that rode instead of push.
