The damage is colossal and they still have'nt finished inspecting all the buildings. Bricklayers, spark'es, plumbers. Infact any tradesman with a ute and a handful of tools has more than ten years of solid work infront of them. Since the first quake they have experienced some 13 thousand after shocks. One company was called in to build a new block of shoppes which had collapsed in the first quake the glaziers had just finished when the second quake bowled it over again. Talk about continuity of work. So how are you lot, did you enjoy the peace?

It's been quite around here. I think everyone was spending most of their spare time in church praying for your safe return. It was either that or to busy partying celebrating your leaving still.

We do get some earthquakes, just not as bad or anywhere near as many. Newcastle (New South Wales, Australia) had one a few years back now (1989) that killed 13, injured 160 and caused an estimated $4 billion in damage.
