Someone sent me a letter in the postal mail
- as you know- a trucker hit the power pole here- and incurred over $300 damage to the wire of my house.
It was a hit and run.
Of course I complained to everyone and their brother over it.
The other day- a note came in the mail... no return address. No name. It said they knew I was having a hard time.
In it- was abit over $100 cash.
I am stunned! I am sure it has something to do with the pole. The post mark was from out of state. They had my address right- but what if they did not-it would have gone to dead mail- and that cash would be gone.
Most surprises are bad- so I do not like surprises.
So someone - somewhere- sent me some cash. Could it be the trucker who did the hit and run? The power company? The place I applied for a grant to pay for it- maybe it is a secret Santa type of thing.
With this cash- I think I can settle my bill when I get my August Soc Sec check. That would be a huge relief.
PA has a strange law- that- you can take someone local before the JP over a debt and have them put in jail if it is not paid. The electrician could-- he could also put a lien on my house- and tell all of his tradesmen buddies- never do work for me again.
Could it be the electrician who sent the cash? Maybe he had a buddy out of state send it.
I am certain- it has something to do with the fact that a pole was hit and cost me.
So who sent it?
I thought this only happened to other people.
Think about it- a random trucker does $300 damage to my house- a random person sends me over $100. Each random.
Would the out of state trucker know my full name and address? Would he know I incurred the cost??
The other day I contacted the TV station over the pole situation- this was before the mail came.
I am happy I can soon put this all behind me. I want the pole moved, as we have alot more truck traffic due to the fracking industry. But in terms of a settlement- I dont think I will push for it- the law seems to be on the power companies side.
I want to get caught up on the pole matter- pay a buddy I owe cash to, and then gear up for my next car.

Geez we could make a tv series about your life, move over Days of Our Lives, could call it "Ups an Downs of Poor Central"
