Ted Butler: US Government Joins ‘War on Silver’

Post by Dirtbikepilot on Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:34 pm

“I am hopeful and expect the silver investigation to conclude in the not-too-distant future, hopefully in September or October,” writes CFTC Commissioner Bart Chilton in an e-mail to Bloomberg, concerning the agency’s now four-year probe into potential silver price manipulation.
But documenting what he describes as “The War on Silver,” Ted Butler, the person arguably most responsible for the probe, laments that “It has taken more than 25 years
for me to fully comprehend a conclusion that I never wanted to reach,
namely, that there is an organized war against the price of silver that
has come to include the US Government. I think the US Government
involvement came into being almost accidently, but even if it was an
accident of sorts, that does not diminish the serious nature of what
must be described as illegal activity at the highest levels. I am
conflicted between feelings of sadness and outrage.
