damage- hit and run to my house

So around 4am- the other day- a truck hit and completely knocked over the power line and pulled my wire out of my house.


Now I have to pay $300-$400.

I am not happy.

This pole was knocked over before - but I do not know when.


PPL- told me- that I was required to call in a certified electrician, to replace the entrance cable down to the meter base. The neutral wire had been torn out. Once repaired the city had to send an inspector and that too had a charge.

I filed a police report but it is a hit and run.

My insurance deductible is $500. (aside from that the ins cos now charge an add on if one has a claim)

So now- thru no fault of my own- I have an up to $400 bill.

My brother who often says do you need to borrow money- told me no- and to call the police.

Chris across the street helped- to find a guy- get it done- and even let me run an extension cord to my house in the mean time.

Once I get this bill- I am going to see if I can get it paid somehow. I am on programs. I always thought the power company was responsible to get the power to the meter.

I am irked that my brother said many times- if I need cash - to ask- dont say it if you dont mean it.

--on of the town officials is a facebook buddy- he seems to think he can get me a sign- so this does not happen again- via trucks on that road.

Dont offer to loan me money if you do not mean it.

I am beyond broke- might have to sell some coins to stay a float.

When it is my mistake- fine- I owe- but I really hate when it is someone else that costs me money.

This bill is $337.28.

I have submitted all the info to my state rep to dispute that I have to pay it.

This same pole had come down in the past. So I am thinking PPL shares in the responsibility.

Its not your Pole an you didnt knock it down ! Take em to court , we will send Apoxylips to be your representative . He will get you off or get you hung.
